Our History

Crossroads Baptist Church was planted in Memphis, Tennessee in 1998 by our pastor,
Clenton Patterson, and his family.  The church started with the family and several others who are
the core of CBC today.

While waiting to obtain a building to meet in, the services were held in the Patterson's home for the first few weeks.  Shortly thereafter, the church began to meet in a warehouse facility located a few miles away on Democrat Road.  Crossroads met at this location for two years.  After moving from Democrat Road, the church shared a facility with another local independent Baptist church until our current location on Overton Crossing was obtained.  Crossroads has been at this location since 2002.

The vision of the ministry has remained constant as the church has continued to grow.  The methods for accomplishing the tasks at hand have evolved over the years allowing Crossroads to establish a number of ministries within the church which have served to help establish it within the community, and strengthen those who serve.

Additionally, Crossroads has been involved in Missions, both home and foreign,  since the very first service in 1998 when the Patterson family voted to take on several missionaries.  Since then, the church has given thousands of dollars to missionaries all over the world, and has now been involved in planting a new church in the Mississippi Delta.
